eSATAp (power over eSATA) is a high speed connection for External storage devices. External storage devices includes portable hard disks (HDD) solid-state drives (SSD) and network-attached storage (NAS). eSATAp port can be found on notebook PCs and desktop machines .
This Power Over eSATA to SATA 22pin cable enables you to connect your 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDD externally to any free Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port.

Voltage:12Vor 5V . It depends on the different Source . Your desktop or notebook will have to support the Power eSATA 12V
Please Note:
* This cable supports both 5V & 12V if your PC support both outputs.
* If your PC/laptop supports only 5V then you can use it only with 2.5" hard disks while if your pc supports 12V you can use with 2.5" 3.5" and 5.25" hard disks/DVD ROMs
So if you wish to use with 3.5" or 5.25" hard disks pls check with your mainboard/PC documentation for 12V output because 5V output only works with 2.5" hard disks.
